Do you love science and like to write?

Try out science writing with Geotimes. We are currently accepting applications for our summer 2001 intern. The intern works as a member of the five-person Geotimes staff, writing for the News Notes section, attending press briefings and science seminars in Washington, D.C., and helping edit and produce the magazine for print and the Web. $3,000 stipend supplied for a 12-week internship. Starting time flexible. All applications should be postmarked by April 15, 2001. Background in the geosciences a plus. Send resume, letter describing what you hope to gain from the internship, and any writing samples you've acquired to:

Writing samples should be something you're proud of and may include an article published in your school's newspaper or a paper that demonstrates your ability to write about a scientific topic.
