NEWS NOTES Life extended for leaning tower
Italy’s leaning tower of Pisa is safe to lean for at least another 300 years, according to a new engineering study. The tower, first constructed between A.D. 1174 and 1370, was shored up in 2001 and remains stable, Reuters reported on May 28.
