NEWS NOTES

Did you know?

Swedish men consume more energy than Swedish women, at least according to a new study published by the Swedish Defence Research Agency. Single men consume 20 percent more energy, especially for transportation (they drive more, and spend more on their cars, the study suggested), than single women. The study examined both direct energy consumption, such as burning gasoline, and indirect consumption, such as product choice. Women, the study said, seem to be more concerned with the environment than men.
